I was reading up on stereoscopy (stereoscopic imagery), an old fascination of mine, and it occurred to me that I have the power to create some interesting images using Maya and some of the files that I've got ready for Genesis. Here's Cryogenics.
Instructions:
1. Sitting at a comfortable distance from your monitor, keep your head very still and cross your eyes until the middle pod's round window lines up from both images.
2. Once the window's relatively focused (you might have to tilt your head a tiny bit till it's straight), relax your eyes a bit and have a look around the room. The pods further down should appear to be much further away than the pods in the foreground.
3. Viola - a stereoscopic image!
Warning: if you're prone to headaches, don't do this for very long. and.. Oh! I'm not liable for any exploded eyeballs. That is all.

Unfortunately our brains are a little too smart to make the viewable area any larger than this. You'd have to actually increase the size of your display to view the image without your eyes going bonkers, and even then, you'd have to back up. It's all about your eyes being crossed to view an image, the brain knows it's illusionary for that reason and attempts to compensate, hence the discomfort.
nevermind i got it, kinda hard to line it up when it's all blurry lol, my eyes focused more when they relaxed though so i could get a good look at it and i think i already figured out how it works lol, it only shows some of the picture with each eye making it seem like there is an actual edge to the closer pods thus making it actually look like the back pods are further away
