Ria, compared to two other coyote skulls. I like comparing skulls of the same species, it really shows off the individuality of each one.
Ria is a very dainty female coyote, she has thin, sleek features. The skull in the middle is also dainty, they are both typical for coyote skulls.
The one on the right however, is definitely a Coydog (coyote/dog hybrid). He has the broad features of a domestic dog, as well as the big raised brow of domestic dogs. Way too bulky for a pure coyote like Ria. Also his incisor teeth are too flat to be 'yote. (I'm not completely sure if the middle one is pure coyote, since it came from the same place as the coydog. But it's features look 100% coyote).
The two skulls are now totally cleaned up, and sitting on my shelf begging to be painted!

Isn't she? She's been staring at me from the shelf for a week now asking me to paint her, but I don't want to leave her unfinished when I go on vacation. xD;
But I'm thinking of doing a very bright Day of the Dead painting on her, I have it all laid out in my head already haha.
