Finally took the time to do some of these. Now back to work I go.

Immortality to me means living past the point where you could learn or experience all that you can learn/ experience without being repetitive (like same story, different character, etc). I adapt to things quickly, and get bored quickly. So for me personally, true immortality would not be desired :)
From what I understand, TimeLords get 13 rejuvenations. "So Doctor Who's version of it rather than standard Time Lord one" That Question sounds like an oxymoron to me. I know they said some Timelords had their rejuvenation number increased, But I don't remember hearing them mention The Doctor having his extended as well. Note I only researched the original Doctor who series, I never watched any of them. Only seen the present day one.
I think the common thing with Time Lord regenerations is that the 13 limit was something created by the High Council. But with Gallifrey destroyed, they can no longer keep that rule, so the number of regenerations is essentially infinite. However, one can still expend all of their life force that fuels those regenerations, leaving them with only their current life left (a la River Song).
Other Time Lords are known to have used more regenerations than that. The Master, before he "died" again, would have been on his, I believe, 16th. Of course, that was after he took over the mind of another person, a non-Time Lord, and then had the High Council give that body more regenerations.
But if the High Council can just give out regenerations and to non-Time Lords at that, then why would there be a real limit other than one they try to regulate themselves?

While he doesn't like the 13 limit (Especaly wiht Popular Actors of late lasting between 1-5 years and not good ol Tom Baker 7 years!) the'll already be at Doctor #12 next series. :/ But he said he won't breakt the limit but if some other writer did he'd be fine with it.
But yes Time lords can always get around the standard 13, the Master not only stole afew extra, he was also given extra in the old series, and once again in the new seires to fight in the time war, and then brought back one last time by his human cult.
If the Doctor Got around it it would more sugest the Valyard (The Judge)/Doctors Evil side is in controll, and Fans wouldn't want to see or even think about the idea of a Dark Doctor running around, but if some how he was "Given" more life Fans could accept that.
I'd sort of like that super power too. Because damn The Doctor not only Levels up like a JRPG character like daly in whatever current incarnation hes in, but with a new life he also gets new skills added on to his old ones.

Tis funny, that people assume immortality would be boring, but how would they know? They've never been immortal.
I would guess that since history is interesting, there is always something going on. Even if all life got wiped out, I'm sure there is no shortage of projects to keep one occupied. Living things just make finding projects easier XD.

Heh, how you tried to defunct immortality being boring, is the same way one could defunct your notion that "there is no shortage of projects to keep one occupied.": how would you know? Have you lived in a lifeless environment for years on end, and still found ways to keep yourself happily entertained? :p
I believe some, like myself, knows whether or not immortality would be boring, because they know themselves.
"I would guess that since history is interesting, there is always something going on." And what of those years that isn't recorded? Some areas, nothing worth recording in history happens for hundreds, even thousands, of years.
Personally, I think some people don't quite grasp what immortality means. Theoretically, even the universe itself will "end" someday. To be immortal, would be to exist beyond that point. So technically, if you were immortal, eventually, you'll be completely, utterly alone...surrounded by black space.

Being immortal gives enough time to modify oneself to surmount human psychological needs.
But in the event that one is trapped in a void for all eternity, the worst that would happen is a dissociative split in an effort to create companions.
I do not see how your ""And what of those years that isn't recorded?" is relevant; by history, I was referring to human activity in the present and future (though I can see how that would be confusing).
