V-2 Turbopumps and thrust structure
I've also turned wood patterns for vac-forming the new rear fuselage and fuel tanks.

Fascinating stuff! I've long had an interest in theV2 (and V1).
I wonder if you've ever read Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon? It's only peripherally related to the V2, being a work of literature that uses the missile as a metaphor for death. And a very difficult read at that.

Well, as I said, it's a novel. It doesn't really go into a lot of technical detail about the V2 (or A4, as the Germans called it). And it isn't for everyone. But you can probably find a second-hand copy for cheap on eBay or Amazon.
It's a very dense read and needs concentration. Not quite finnegans wake, but imagine 900 pages of a combination of Ulysses and Catch-22 with extra drugs. If you manage to get past that, there's quite a lot of humour too.

HOO HAH! That thing will be a real"plumbers' nightmars when it's done.I hope every one whosees the completed model wil apprciate the work tha it entailed. 1/16 scale V-1? That hing would be flyable. Remember the small pulse jet engines that used to be used in U-Controlspeed racing? Would bejust about the right size....Hmmmmm. THE COLONEL
Even in 1/16 scale, the V-1 would be pretty small for a dynajet, except for a massively over-powered speed machine, maybe in 1/6 scale, with the dynajet inside a scale size/shape motor mock up.
The fuel and LOX plumbing is fairly gnarlly on their own, but it is the hydrogen peroxide system for the turbopump that gets crazy. So much so that I'll be faking a bit of it just to avoid the time suck of total plumping madness.

But it wouldbe totally cool, esp there was a scale launching ramp, aka a ski jump. Of course, the ramp would be huge. sctions mounted on a trailer,Iguess. Unless you came uprith a couple of RATO bottles, and modeled a USN "LOON". MOunt the launch rampon a submodel....LOL THE COLONEL.
Considering the thrust (and speed) the old Dynajet could deliver, as well as already having a tuned exhaust, it be a lot easier than trying to scale an Argus, which if was scale size, would likely have a more than scale thrust for the size and weight of the model. It would be interesting to try a scale Argus as a stand alone test article. There is a guy in Oregon (?)who is making full size (and bigger!!!) running replica Argus style motors. But I'd leave all that to others, as I already have way too many things to do.
I've got data for the USAAF ski launch JB-2s and the four bottle launch doohicky it used.
