This is a commission I did for
feliciawolverinni for halloween past year.
Due some circumstances I couldn't upload it back then. But here's the piece now, so enjoy it :D
This represents her own beliefs about halloween, so please be respectful. I myself found this commission to be not only fun, but also very interesting. I've always wanted to know the many ways people do things and celebrate the holidays. One of my favorite commissions ever :D

Not hardly *chuckles* Samhain is a celebration to remember those that have gone before us. It is the time of the year (our New Year's Day) when the veil between the worlds (that of the living and the dead) is the thinnest and therefore allows us to speak to those that have departed.
I recommend you to check for Samhain Night celebrations. They're the base of the present halloween celebration and has nothing to do with sacrifices unless you count the offering of crops.
What she's actually doing is revering the dead, kind of similar to what we do here in Mexico.
Most of the actual symbols used in this ritual are far from my knowledge, but I always appreciated and admired Celtic beliefs. So I can only recommend you to ask
feliciawolverinni directly for more details.
The best way to avoid misunderstanding and fear for no reason is information ^^

Yes I count the offering of crops as sacrifices as you won't be using it yourself in hopes of getting mor ^^" And I did not know this is celtic, I must admit. And I will, though I just figured it would sound a bit rude to sent a note out of the blue.. (That was an unintended pun), But seeing as she hasn't submitted a comment here, I'll send her a note, thanks for your time ^^
Words can not express the gratitude I feel when I see this image. Not only do I appreciate the fact that you withheld posting this picture out of respect to me and what I was going through at the time, but the amount of detail in this picture absolutely astounds me every time I look at it. You captured the idea I had in my mind and transformed it to this stunning image. Thank you so much I will treasure it forever.
It was a pleasure sweetie. I really wanted to do this commission for you just after knowing what your idea was. Also as I said back then I felt happy to learn more things about this holiday directly from someone who actually celebrates it. I'm a curious guy so this was amazing to me :P
I thank you too for giving me this chance and I truly truly hope at some point in the future work with you again if things allow it.
And by the way, also hope you're doing much more better now.

I just noticed something when I came back to this pic this morning and fumbled the scroll bar. The composition loses nothing if the image is cropped to a little above the wolverine's ears; the moonlit clouds are a bit of blank space compared to the altar and foreground.
But that makes it perfect for a magazine or book cover - that's where the title would go!

As a Pagan I am delighted to see serious work vs tentacle wrapped over blown so called babes in ripped clothing. Though I worship Athena, and thus these are not my symbols (even though I am Welsh by blood) it is wonderful to view such an image.
