How does it works O.O I would never even think about keeping a roeaches as pets (i hate them, no offence) but i'm curious to know... How does it works? Don't they try to run away or something while on your hands? Doesn't it scare you or stuff like that? Isn't it a bit gross >.< ?

I don't want to sound rude, i swear i'm just curious!

Well, they are a species of roach that is very docile and clean. I can pick them up and they do not run. You can even pet her back and pet her antennae and she will not get scared :) They are very clean so it's not gross at all. They can make a hiss sound and sounds like a tiny teakettle or something... once when I was picking up an object from the terrarium she was on it and I didn't see her and she fell off onto the carpet... she hissed and ran because it scared her... that kind of scared me because I was afraid I'd lose her in my room.

But yeah I am not scared and they are clean and friendly :) I keep them in my bedroom next to my bed :) And it's not rude, I think it's cool that you are curious!!

I think it's nice the fact you describe her the same way someone would talk about their dog. You make her seem cute XD Wouldn't she run away? I mean, she's still a bug, from what i know pretty fast, do you think she'd go away if she had the chance?

When they are babies they run away and get scared a lot. But when they get big they are really gentle and not scared of people. So they don't run. I can put my hand down and she will crawl on it and I can look at her close and pet her and she doesn't get scared or try to run at all :)

When I took the picture I let her climb on my hand (I didn't put her there, she went on her own) and then I took a few pictures and even a video, while turning my hand and flashing camera at her... she didn't run or get scared even once.

Well that's really impressive! Is there a way she can show pleasure? Does she enjoy when you pet her? And if she does how do you understand it OcO Sorry for the thousands of questions but it's just so intresting! I need to know >,<

I don't think they have a pleasure really. Well, the only time her behavior changes is depending on the foods. If it's not a good food they will just nibble it now and then. If it's a good food, they rush to it as soon as I put it near them and drag pieces under their little cave :) So I guess that means they like it, haha. But yeah I don't think there's a way to tell if they're happy, if they even can feel a happy. But you can tell if they are scared because they will hiss and bury their heads and try to hide (if something is big enough to hide in, they will scrunch up in it as much as they can).

Haha poor things XD compliment for the guts, i wouldn't be able to even go near one of those!

Yeah, they are not very active pets but they are fun to observe. I also made a video of her cleaning her antennae when she was on my hand that time, and it's the only time I've ever seen one do that!

Yeah, she is a hissing roach so she has no wings :) And yeah they are very clean (and cute too!)

Lol aww. I got two boys. XD Goliath has bigger horns on his back, so thats how I can tell them apart.

One of my gals is a LOT bigger than the other, that's how I can tell :)

how do you know the diff between them?

At first it was by size, one grew faster than the other. Now it's by color. One is a much darker shade than the other :) If I had a lot, or even just several, I probably would have no idea...

Do you ever have trouble telling Pit apart from Hades though?

Yeah, I love them! I love all roaches, though :)

Luckily they are quite different shades in color, so it's pretty easy to tell them apart:
