You'd think, would you?
Playing devils advocate a short momment, I will say there are some ok voice-changers out there that I know folks on SL and various multiplayer games use to convince people their of different genders.
I will also say though I've yet to hear one that doesn't give itself away the momment the user laughs. The software can never handle it.
And anyone who's sat in on one of Fox's streams knows there's nothin on this earth that could immitate her laugh. ;)
Back to Fox's side; screw 'em. It doesn't really matter, and there are those who wouldn't beleive it with a full genetic analysis and standing in front of a girl while they're giving birth.
Tho, "dude" is pretty unisex these days.

Well to be fair, I didn't know you were part of the women variety until I actually heard you in one of your livestreams. So it might just be they don't know your gender and getting themselves into trouble with those crazy pronouns. That being said, that doesn't mean I was standing around the town square, telling people "Have you seen this Fox and a Wolf chap? Damn good artist he is. I heard his masculinity is enough to crush entire mountains with". (It's a nineteenth century setting where we all wear top hats and monocles. Except for the dregs who don't have wheelbarrows of money like we do.) Gotta use them gender neutral pronouns or you risk sounding like a dick.
See, considering the number of "women" on the internet that are actually guys, this is not an untoward assumption. I have a special defense mechanism for preventing unwanted discoveries from ruining my day. Until I meet a person or it is confirmed for me by a source I consider reputable, I imagine that everyone I meet on the internet looks like this:

So if I ever encounter them by accident in real life, the reality is ALWAYS better than the fantasy.
As for you, I got your gender right from the start because of a couple of people I trust telling me about your work in the first place.

To be honest, I generally treat "dude" and "man" when used in those particular circumstances as gender neutral. But, yeah, people are pretty obtuse if they actually think your a guy. I mean, I'm a pretty new watcher of yours all things considered and the fact that you're female was pretty obvious from the get go.
