Our hobo-cat Knothead. He don't actually live at our house, but he's friendly and sleeps on our back porch. He eats our food, drinks our water, and poses nicely for pictures.
Why Knothead? Because he's got a knot on his head. Also, he's a bit of a scrapper. Always coming home covered in blood or torn up from being in a fight with something. Though it all, he never looses his friendly personality.

One of the most interesting early characters I ever created was the Quaglire Imp, who was the result of a big drop of india ink falling onto a piece I had nearly completed called the Inter-Galactic Circus. Rather than throw the piece away I turned the drop into a character.
I've never been able to draw (see: the rest of my uploads XD ) but I think it would make a cool exercise. Paint a background, drop some ink, make a character.
And it is a loss that people have moved away from traditional art. ...but I guess I can't say much really. My camera is digital. Oh wait! I still do origami, and it'll be a crazy day when they make THAT easy to do online.
