Eldritch Teaser and actual page side-by-side comparison
You can read the whole comic at my deviantart gallery: http://nashoba-hostina.deviantart.com/ or on its blog at http://eldritchcomic.blogspot.com/
So, several years ago, I drew the Teaser for Eldritch (left) and, after some waiting, posted it. By the time I had posted it, I already had most of the hard work done, some of which I can easily date back to 2004, though the comic itself didn’t start until 2009… I’d been working out where the plot was going, fleshing out the personalities of characters (even though the character designs weren’t complete) working out the world and its rules. If I recall correctly, at that point, I had a general outline for the entire series done, the script for the first chapter, a detailed outline for the second chapter and an outline for the third… which is where this scene finally appeared, two and a half years after the teaser’s posting.
I’m now working on producing the fifth chapter, and already have work done for the sixth and seventh. And there are still so many more to go.
I wonder, if I were to redraw this at the end f the entire series… what would it look like?
[Edit] Maybe iI should have said "Comparioson of..." first rather than the title seen above. As is indicated in that title, this is intended to be a side-by-side visual comparison. These pages do not appear together like this in the actual story, and are not intended to be read textually. If you would like to read the whole comic (all four chapters of it and counting) Please see the links above, as it will not be posted in its entirety here on FA. (I am not uploading more than a hundred and fifty pages of comic here, sorry guys.)

In some ways, you are like a hero to me. I had plans to write long, epic stuff that never materialized and had to be thrown aside when the scope of my goals greatly exceeded my ability to achieve them. Now, that's an important learning experience, and I think I've learned a lot more about my limitations and how I work best since then, but to work so long on something and stick with it...I have to admire your dedication.
Anyway, as far as my thoughts on the page go, I recall this page one of the times I felt as if Faith and I wouldn't see eye to eye on much. She has something thrust upon her that I might accept willingly (not that I've been offered, so who knows?)...but funny thing is, that made me more interested to keep reading about her.

Faith is an odd character in that way... odds are, those who will read this comic fantasize about being a werewolf... and Faith is the converse of that at the start of the story. But it allows me to surprise her with the good (and bad) parts without her having any preconcieved notions about how cool it could be to be a werewolf, which I kind of like.
Also, you flatter me... Though frankly, I've had to abandon projects too. This wasn't my first attempt at a webcomic, you know. This one just stuck. It takes a couple of tries to get into the swing of big projects. And for all I know, something may come up where I won't be able to finish this. But goodness knows I'm trying.
In short, understanding your limitations is a good thing... but never be afraid to push your boundaries and try again. You may surprise yourself.
