mountaingoat assisted me in getting my NRA membership renewed. And he requested that his character be featured with an Israeli FN LAR. (Light Automatic Rifle)

This pig of a weapon weighs in at 18 pounds and fires a .308 round from a 20 round magazine. I know, I own one myself. I call it the Poor mans BAR. Basically the same thing as the Browning Automatic Rifle.

This was supposed to be in pencil, but I went a bit overboard and full colored it. Cause it looks better in color!!

That was the Galil Rifle they used the AK as a base and vastly improved it. Not only the sights, but the piston and amber-dexterous safety lever.

"Nice. Usually AK based weapons are improved off of the original. Like the Finland's version of the AK has been improved with I think if I remember right less parts and of course the rear sight is placed at the back where it should be."

I've got a Lithgow L1A1 that needs a Imbel or DMSL receiver to replace the Century receiver it has now....POS!!

Mine had an Imbel receiver. I had to sell it to pay some bills. Have you tried DSA?

Either way I can't afford it.

I'm still waiting on how expensive the truck repairs are going to be and no work this week isn't helping. Plus a lack of commissions.

Wow! you mean to tell me those genius armorers in Israel managed to teach the FN FAL some manners? Well, if anyone it'd be them. They're so good I bet they could make WWI era French stuff work right!

Reminds me a little of the Heckler & Koch HK21 LMG
It is based on the HK G3 and can be fed by a Ammo-belt and by the typical 20 Round Magazine.

always liked the LARs but I'll stick with my HK93 love that thing poor baby needs a new spring and overall new stock I've abused it too much

What's the LAR for? By its heft I'd say it was more of a sniper's tool than anything else.

Would like to own an FN FAL but will settle for my M 14. It has the bipod and with it it is more of a boat anchor but with the right ammo it will shoot sub MOA. Loves 168gr.
