Omfg, I remember these from stories in my childhood! I used to have nightmares about them and three-face, that giant rolling head that would eat you! Native Americans have some seriously silly monsters, that somehow STILL Manage to be terrifying!!

I think so? The name chihiro sounds familiar. It's been a long while since I read it, but they were in a trilogy of native american stories, one was somethingsomething of the sun, somethingsomething of the night and i forget the third one. Big, hardbound books in dark blue, light blue and yellow covers. I'll have to pick them up from mom's the next time I pass by and re-read them.

D&D has these, calls 'em "Vargouilles". Got some nasty poisonous bites and spell-like abilities. And if one kills you, your head comes off and becomes one too.

It's worse than that. You don't transform into a vargouille if they kill you, you turn into one if they kiss you.

How...how do these things reproduce?!!
