This started off as a quick and very rough sketch (which I posted amongst others on tumblr). I wanted to have a go at drawing without inking the lineart first; so this is entirely in pencil (I did use my light-box to trace the sketch so i'd have a clean image to start with).
Pencils used:
- assorted grades of graphite sketching pencils
- medium grade charcoal pencil
- soft grade white chalk pencil
- metallic coloured pencils (gold, silver, bronze and pewter)
- orange and magenta polychromo pencils
Other tools used:
- blending stump
- kneadable eraser
- battery operated eraser

Thank you!
I never do anything plain or simple, lol. Scales are always an arse to draw (tis why I almost never draw them in on her, that and they don't show up with black), I drew them in first with a HB pencil then made the shading with a 4B pencil, and then blended with blending stump.
