Okay, so my scanner insisted on cropping out the edges of my drawing - no matter, I can deal. So here's a rendition of an Earth Dragon or more specifically a Terragon - a hybrid species that is part nature and part dragon in my WIP novel series.
Terragons are essentially part of the earth itself, and therefore can transform into 'nature' in her natural scope, giving it the perfect camouflage against other predatory species of dragons that might be lingering around.
The wings are wooden and covered with strips of moss and vines, and the body is mostly a combination of grass, wooden twines, gnarled trees, thorns, flowers, lurid petals, poisonous tentacles and even roots. I purposely gave the claws a twisted 'sloth'-like look to them to make the beast appear sluggish, because let's face it - if you have tree roots growing out of your tail and legs, you won't be moving too fast, would you? >:3
My apologies on the slightly blurred quality of the lines and the weird blotchy gray patches. It's the stoopid scanner. >.<
