BLARGH vent art!
Yeeaahh I know I still have a commission or two in the works, but I wanted to get this done with. Recently I've been feeling a little on edge: people getting under my skin some, hearing news I'd rather not, just generally a bit low. Starting to pick up and get back on track with things and perking myself up - did this little bit of vent art to help ease it out of my system.
Based on the philosophy my dad used to tell me all the time: "depression isn't real, it's just a blip" and so inspired the idea of a bad TV signal ontop of what was just a simple 'fuck my life' sketch.
A bad signal is one of THE hardest effects I've tried to replicate! I re-did the idea several times and I still think it looks a little forced.
Anyway yeah, have some angst while I crack on with commissions~

When I look at this as like a cover page I think of a comic about a guy trying to make it through life but like making a couple of major fuck ups and trying to get past them and move on with his life.

I wasn't sure whether there was some form of pattern to the whole 'bad signal' look so I just pulled out a few segments, stretched some out and oversaturated them along with the static~
