Once I heard of what happened, and read stories of some victims who'd just survived previous tragedies, I was deeply saddened. To know humans are capable of hurting each other in such a way is truly frightening. Hopefully the shooter is put away permanently.

Truth be told, the only way he'll permanently be removed is if someone does the same to him.

Never good to solve violence with more violence, however. Guess we'll all have to wait and see what happens to him.

Believe me, I'd like everything to be ended peacefully, but on the off chance that someone in there had a gun and managed to kill the shooter, that might be several more families who aren't grieving the loss of one of their own.

I know all too well what it feels like to have a loved one die because some pointless shit happened...

evil, like good, can never be eradicated. but those harmed can be aided by the good of heart, and those who survive remember and learn.

Never have I been glad NOT to see a movie in theaters.

this is awesome

What pisses me off more is that a damned fine movie is impacted at the box office because of paranoid people refusing to see (and I do mean abjectly BOYCOTTING) The Dark Knight Rises because they're terrified of being shot by a copycat. I've had to talk down guests at my theater who instead are seeing garbage like Ice Age, but gave up when they refused to listen to reason.
