"Classic Roly-Polympics: Men's Soccer" [old]

When I began presenting these "Classic Roly-Polympics" cartoon gags a while ago, I'd mentioned that among my inspirations were old Paramount (and their Famous Cartoon Studio) shorts from the 1940s and the 1950s, and the late 1970s animated feature film by Steven Lisberger, "Animalympics" - all containing a variety of anthropomorphic characters, engaged in different sports...
Well, when I drew my first 'soccer' gag for "R-P" (back in 2000), another movie also provided me with an inspiration: Walt Disney Productions' "Bedknobs and Broomsticks". In the middle of the film, a scene that combined live-action and animation featured a soccer match between the 'True Blues' (comprised of a kangaroo, a cheetah, a hippo, an ostrich, and an elephant goalkeeper) and the 'Dirty Yellows' (a lion, a hyena, an alligator, a rhino, and a gorilla goalie). (A live David Tomlinson acted as the referee.) Naturally, the gags during said match reminded me of those old Paramount shorts.
With that in mind, here's my second offering in the two-part series, with 'men's soccer' completing the presentation.
I drew an elephant goalie who is larger than the net, and his big belly can easily deflect the soccer ball during attempts to score off of him. A kangaroo from the other team has an opinion of the ponderous player before him, but he's keeping his thoughts to himself...
(NOTE: A rarely-seen 1980s "Sports Goofy" cartoon from Disney also had a soccer theme to it - with various animals on the soccer field - but I forgot practically all of the gags in that work.)
