Sorry for the absolutely terrible quality of this picture, I couldn't get the lighting and the focus to work properly wile taking the picture, I tried my best to clean it up, but this is the best I could get. I'll post it again when I get it worked out.
I used gouache to paint the background, I used Burnt Umber and Yellow Ochre, sorry if it posted the wrong colors in my last journal :p
I used graphite, a fine tipped marker, and white gel pen to make the character.
In the original pic, the character is much darker and the background a bit lighter, sorry again for that. Also there is a lot more contrast in the original.
