I started making a torso one day in May while hanging out in my old HS's art room. Then I decided to give him a horsey face. Having survived the kiln, he got to be painted!
Some of the first comments I got on this were, "Ah, you're not racist!" It took me a while to get that that was motivated by the fact that we don't see too many black centaurs; I was confused, thinking, "... but he's not black, he's a sooty bay!"
