Wow, I absolutely love how all the Glaive Wyverns, while have the same body concept, all are quite unique in style and pattern. :) My favorite one has to be the red-eyed one. Her/his patterns are awesome. :D
And of course, the baby is ADORABLE!! <--- *LOVES Hatchlings* ^.-.^

Heh. Unlike a lot of human cultures, there really are no specific taboos about sex, so the young can be exposed are a relatively young age. Kinda like how human kids don't mind the violence in cartoons these days.

Though Glaive whelps don't have their hormones kick in until at least their 15th year and are considered sexually mature at that point. n.n

A gathering of glaives! Very cool...you ought to draw them more often... :)

I would love to draw them more to, it's fun coming up with random designs and color schemes!

But my requests/trades/and commissions seldom has need for them, so they're reserved for my own pictures at the moment. ;)

So long as you don't always let those requests/trades/commissions take priority over your own art. It can be difficult to break that habit!

Okay, WOW, I am seriously blown away, Sky!!!
It's such a HUGE piece! Full background and so many glaives (with an adorable hatchling too!)!
First off, your titles for your pictures always seem to add that little bit extra imagination to the work. The Storyteller looks like he's in the middle of an epic tale (looks like he's been sprinkling magic powder over the flames to add to the story as well!). It looks like Sky has invited me to travel up the mountains with him to this warm gathering of glaives :) I feel so honoured :) And Sky does make for an excellent comfy couch, too! ;) I just really love the overall environment of the place too...you can see the full moon shining behind the rocks & the warm glow of the fire...this is seriously one of the best pieces that I have ever been given, Sky. It means a lot to me Thank you so much!!!

*Laughs* I'm glad you like it, Were! Glaives are nomadic, so we probably just popped in on a pack passing by, they're always happy to share their stories with friendly folk. n.n

Thank you, Kartonis. I was actually thinking of doing a little series of pictures of an anthropologist living amongst a Glaive pack for a while, and ending with the taking of the female scientest by the Glaive that introduced her into the pack in the first place. ;)

I was kicking around making her human, but that is still up in the air. :P

*nods* Certainly sounds like something I'd enjoy seeing. I'd love to see more of the inner workings of Glaive culture.

Your species has always interested me because of how much detail you put into their background and day-to-day life. You've built up quite a society with their backstory, which really makes every picture pop to life. Knowing where a character comes from makes it ever the more real for me. Keep up the awesome work.
