The Dallas Brawl, an APA where artists took turns beating up on and/or humiliating each others' characters, was an artistic outlet for me back in the 90's. I'll admit I usually wasn't as ruthless or brutal in my responses as most other Brawlers were. I thought it might make a more interesting story to have 'Trep stay with Bloodstone rather than immediately try to get rid of her. This page shows the ideas I considered and rejected before ultimately deciding to play along.

In the 1980's "Steve Gallacci and everyone else" pretty much was the case. Furry was basicly limited to small-run fanzines and a very very few indy comics.
At least Gallacci's work was about the best publicity furry could want--intelligent, well-drawn and non-pornographic. I would be embaressed to show a non-furry 95% of what's being published today, which is either awful art, pornography, badly written, and often all three.
