Just a little short story to help me with a bit of venting. This is the first of many stories to come that will all be me venting. I've had a lot of crap going on lately rl, and I have been dealing with depression and anger, and a lot of other stuff, so you guys get to read what comes of it. I might end up using the character, Ka-Jer in several of my venting stories because his character is such an ass that he is perfect for it. I do have permission from his owner to use him, and I think them for that. For now, the owner will be kept secret for personal reasons.
This just came out from a bit of my depression, so it is mostly sad, but thought I would put a happy ending in it, so enjoy!
She sits all alone, not a person around her. She looks back on her life, trying to decide if it was all worth it. Was it worth the pain she is in now? Would she have made better decisions if she knew this was going to be the outcome? For all the good and positive things, she probably would have though. Her life may be a living hell right now, but there were some good times, and new people she has met along the way. Life could be better than this if she hadn’t done what she did.
It all happened only a few years ago. Her life was going great, and she was happy with the way things were going. That’s when he showed up. The man she thought was the one for her. He still came around sometimes, wanting to bug her at her shop. It always bugged her when he did it, but he never cared if it did or not. He liked to bug her and do things that pissed her off.
Three years ago, Ka-Jer had walked into her life, and was just the sweetest guy in the world. He was always doing things for her and making her smile. Man how she missed those days. Her life was full of love and happiness. Now it is filled with hurt and pain.
When she first met Ka-Jer, she fell into love right away. He was a big, strong, strapping young man who could sweet talk anyone into getting what he wanted. And he apparently wanted her. She was shy, but rather enjoyed the attention he was giving her. She knows now that she never should have fallen so fast, but she couldn’t help it. His charm won her over way too fast for her to be able to control it.
They started dating only a month after meeting one another and it was good for so long. Her little puff of a tail flicks about as she thinks about it and the wonderful time they had. He was such a wonderful lover. Always romantic and knowing just how to touch her to make her melt. That is one of the things that she misses the most. His touch when she thought he still loved her. She lets out a sigh as she thinks about it, wishing she could still get that touch from him, but at the same time, not wanting it.
After about a year of them being together, things started to change. He became someone different. Someone who was very selfish and cared about her less and less as time went by. She hadn’t noticed it right away. She put up with him and all of his mental abuse for such a long time. The longer she stayed with him, the worse things got. It got to the point where she didn’t go out and do things anymore. She stayed at home where he wanted her to be to make him happy, so he wouldn’t yell anymore, or at least not as much. He didn’t talk too much anymore, unless it was to one of his friends.
It was only a month or two ago that she realized what had been happening, and by then she had lost all of her friends, and had lost contact with most of her family. They all saw what she was going through and the pain she was living with and they just couldn’t see her go through it anymore, since she never listened to them about it. She thought she knew what was going on in her own home. Little did she know that she had no idea at all about what was going on in her home.
The man she had fallen in love with, that she thought was the love of her life was cheating on her, right there in her own home. When she was fast asleep in their bed, he had many women over and fooled around with them on their couch. He had stopped touching her so long ago, that she was used to it and thought it was because of her. Thought it was because of how ugly she was, which he drove home in her over the few short years they were together.
Was it really such a short time ago that she had woken up in the middle of the night to find him on the couch with another female? And a large bear woman at that, when he said he didn’t like larger women. He had used that excuse on her many times over, even though she barely weighed over 120 when soaked from head to toe. She remembers it all very vividly, like it had only just happened.
Her jaw had dropped and she ran out of the house, crying her heart out. He hadn’t even bothered to go after her. He just continued to have his way with the large bear. She hasn’t been back home since then, and she never planned on going back, or at least not when he was home. The pain she has still stays, even when she hasn’t been near him in such a long time. She now has a place of her own though, and a job that she loves. The counseling she goes to each week has been a wonderful help for her to deal with the pain and suffering she has been through. She has her family back, and a few friends, so life is alright. A smile crosses her bright red lips as she thinks of how much her life has changed in such a short amount of time, and how much better off she is now.
