I know it's kind of why a lot of people like them, but I like seeing a snake character who for once doesn't want to vore all the time.

I am curious, has she tried looking for purgatives to help in these situations? Or has everything traditionally used as a purgative proven ineffectual for her that she's tried? I can see the curse altering her to make such "purging" impossible I suppose, but I'm still curious as to whether she's tried looking down that route. Could make for an interesing life goal for her (Break curse, or failing that, find a purgative to save those her monstrous mind has her devour). To be honest, the only purgative that I even know off that's not some sort of artificially crafted compound is ipecac (usually made into a syrup and normally used in case of accidental poisoning: get it out of the stomach quickly before it can be absorbed).
