
Still busy with commissions, so here's another oldie I pulled out of my a...uh, files. I found Wolfman's career arc amusing - usually guys go from office drone to super hero, not the other way around. But from Jack's point of wiew, it's an improvement - and the world around him is better off, too. Your body's powers don't matter as much as what you got in your head.

Heh. Are you familiar with ‘Temps’? Two books about British (and later European)-run superhero organizations. Name comes from the fact that the British attitude really doesn't condone vigilantism... so all supers basically get handled out of a bureaucracy that hires them on as Temps to handle particular issues.
Such as the Invisible Kid (who's not actually invisible, just impossible to pay attention to) who gets sent into a hostage situation and walks in, chats with the guy with the gun, and walks back out after the gunman forgets about him. Only problem is, his supervisors keep forgetting to pay him.
Neil Gaiman was one of the writers, as I recall. Tended toward rather dry humour, being British.
