Acrylic painting on an old sawblade.
I am too used to painting with watercolors. Acrylics are annoying to get right.

that is an awesome use of saw blade. Gotta say I like the use of various item to be the canvas!
And yes I imagine that it would be difficult to get things just right with a different medium (not sure if that is the correct word) after you are used to a different one. But I must say that I think you did extremely well even with the annoyances of trying to get it to look just right!

Thanks. My dad has a huge sawblade I was wanting to paint on originally, about 5 feet diameter. I figure this smaller one would be good practice perhaps O.o Until I figure out something that might actually be worthwhile to paint on that larger one. Maybe one day..
I repainted over this one a couple of times, but I figured out what I was going eventually :I Acrylics are a bitch.

They are a beast all their own, and nothing like watercolors.
You can use glazing and some other techniques, but there is so much more, build up and texture. I am not very good with the wet on wet, and feel I spend way to much time waiting on the paints to dry between layers, which also drys out my pallet. I really need to throw together a wet pallet.
