Ayala existed as a character long before I'd ever heard of "furries" and art of her (She is originally an RP character of mine) became a thought experiment on what a hybridisation of big cat and human features might look like without following furry "norms". More recently I've come to better understand concepts like silhouettes, complementary colours, and using angles and forms to project a character's... character (If she comes over innately sad... success xD). So I'd been experimenting with those ideas too.
So I figured it was about time I set in stone a basic reference sheet now I'm fairly settled on stuff (I also need to settle on a design as I wanted try make an up-to-date game model). Looking around at people's character reference sheets for ideas of what I should include though gave a bit of a chuckle... they seem more bent on giving close-ups of genitalia than providing useful insights to specific design details or the character itself xDDD
...that's not to say she doesn't have stuff like that, just it's not especially relevant or useful; she could be stood stark naked and you still wouldn't be able to see any one of her 6 mammaries; or anything else for that matter thanks to her extra fluffy abdominal fur.
