Man, this took me weeks to do (many intervals in that amount of time used on it). I'm glad it's finally done with because it was a pain.

An idea that came into my head one day a month or so ago turned into the above adoptables. I've been tempted to take one for myself, but I decided it'd be best to make my own if I ever needed one (and I don't |: ).
The heads and fore-bodies are pretty much bird, save for the bottom jaws and ears, which are wolf. The hind quarters are mostly wolf, but there are tail feathers on top. The coloration and markings are based off of both animals and combined.

Lineart was drawn by me and referenced from many different photos of different subspecies of wolves and species of predatory birds.
The species used to make them are listed underneath each design, and are linked below next to their numbers.

Procedure:
Want one of the above designs? Well, there are a few steps to follow and a few different ways to go about it. (by the way: "free" options won't be considered until August 5th to give time for potential buyers to make their wagers).

1. Use money, via paypal, to auto-buy a design, the price is 2$.

Free options, considered after Aug 5:
2. Create a well-written biography (roughly a basic "profile" with a history of two or so paragraphs; not botched together) for the design as a character, and make two, full-colored images with the design as a character (one can be a reference sheet). Don't post the biography in the below comments, please.
3. Make an art-for-design trade with me. I will judge by how much I'd actually want art from you (not in any shallow way, but depending on general skill, variety, craftsmanship, etc.), then I'll decide how many pieces of art (one to four) I'd like from you for the design.
4.Combine two of the options. (i.e. pay half price & give half art for design, etc.)

Actual money will always be considered before the free options.

*Please do not change the species' bases nor drastically change the design.
*Genders weren't established, so choose any sex for them
*If bought, the design will be your property, so do with it what you please, even resell it (so long as the profit wouldn't exceed what was paid for it) ; though I'd personally prefer if you'd use it a few times before doing that sort of thing
*Add accessories and/or play around with the markings/colors a bit if you'd like, but please don't veer too far from the original design
*Since the markings can be hard to follow, just place spots/stripes of similar size in about the same areas with about the same amount; you don't have to be exact, as most were pretty random anyways
*When making a character profile, it'd be great to add some of the traits of the species that the griffin comes from in the personality and perhaps history, but it's not required


** By the way: If you're aware you have a fee on your Paypal when money is sent, please compensate that in the payment. I don't want to have gotten $3 and ended up with $2.20 or something like that. |: (though I know that sometimes, Paypal does it for you)
