RPG Project Battle Music Ver. 1.2
At Nemo's request, I have added more electric guitar, and at many others' requests I have looped the song an extra time.

Wow, this is simply awesome.....so you guys are actually working on an RPG? I've been wanting to work on one for a long time now, and I have a number of characters and a story I've pretty much got down...but I lack the other talents (drawing, music-making, programming, etc.) I so wish I had...
*laughs* Eventually, yeah. I'm building up my music so I can pad out my resume a bit. I'm a musician by trade, and a storyteller by hobby, so... this is kind of my pet project. I'm slowly trying to break into game audio and music design, so this project is kind of a stepping stone for that.
Glad you like it!

Well, I think I'm going to check out some of your stuff, then; I think I may have found a good music guy =3
P.S.: Try listening to that while imaginigng some of these bigger guys as baddies: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/g.....y.cgi?f=279388

Unfortunately, no XP those are photos I got on BZPower.com fromtheir coverage of the NW Brickcon...I'm all the way down in Louisiana XP Also, I think that song goes awesome witht his guy in a FF10-styled scene, lol: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/A.....7/100_4315.jpg
Buuut I DO have a few cool things that'd be interesting in an RPG; you can find all the furry ones in my gallery, and the non-furry ones here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi Lots of people who could be good or bad, lol

Whoops, the second link was bad; here's the correct one: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/g.....m=Panrahk-Will
First off, lemme say it sounds real nice :3 My tastes for battle themes tend to lie in quicker tempos (or perhaps it's just more hits and less of a legato feel to it) yet here I am listening to this one multiple times ;) It means ya did something right, hehe.
I should ask, though, is this planned to be for a turn based system, something like ATB, or free motion/real time ALA Star Ocean and Tales?
I'd imagine it's the former, in which case it'll work out just fine. Indeed, as someone said on the previous version, one of Lunar's battle sequences comes to mind, where you can just kinda watch the characters bobbing up and down while you issue commands. In an ATB system I don't think it would be much different, but if you are happening to look at a free motion system, may not be a bad idea to get to the melody a little quicker.
I'm just rambling, though. You did a good job with this, for sure, and I do think, of the two, that this is a little preferable.

Hehe, thanks! Yeah... I intended for this to be for a turn based system. If it were freeform, I'd probably do as you suggested. They're surprisingly completely different genres of RPGS - most of the kind of music you'd hear would be different just because of the nature of the games.
I'm glad you like it... I'm planning on having something a little more "harsher" for the bossmusic, so keep listening! <3

I think I like the introduction to this one better, as it has a slightly harder edge, and is a little louder. I like the middle sections of the first a little more, though, as I feel that some of the inner voices are lost in this one--the other is more orchestral, and I hear more complexity to the harmonies. It's good both ways, tho.
A side thought--an all-synth version of this might be interesting, too. I'd be interested in seeing the music itself if you have a midi of it (or better still, a Sibelius file).
