They made it do the same damage as crowstorm at lvl 3 flamespitter. :I

They didn't change his numbers, they just made it hit like it was supposed to, didn't they? That's what I got from the patch notes.

It always did the damage of a crowstorm at rank 3. However they couldn't make it do less because a bug caused it to do less already.
Now that that bug is fixed and the damage is more consistent they can get round to making it balanced.

I played a game as Morg where I bound him facing away from me and he did 700 damage from behind.

I read about that. It seems that's what they are fixing, it does damage if you're close behind him, and a little to the sides. The farthest range is still the front though.

I nearly wigged out, Rumble isn't played enough to be bitched about. The new generation of super-top-laners can easily beat him if he doesn't strike first.

With the advent of Darius, that's some hesitation of "Do I want my head split open if that Darius knows what he's doing?" going on.

Also, Why isn't Rumble blindfolded if he's going to be hit with a nerf bat? They did that to Eve and Twitch so long ago..only recently did they paint over the bruises and shove them back out as former shells of their past lives. Riot has a ritual!
