On a recent trip to Galena, Illinois, I couldn't help but take some pictures of the house of President Grant. Tours inside the house are allowed, but we got there literally five minutes before the closed. We were allowed a quick tour but I didn't have enough time to take any pics inside.

This particular house is where Grant lived briefly with his family after his return from the Civil War and before he bacame president. It's pretty impressive, inside and out, and still in wonderul condition today :)
