A small paw gently tugged on the fur of our foreleg, "Mommy, Mommy! I heard a noise!"
Our much larger form loomed over the young cub, "Oh, you did now?" We set down the pots and pans we were handling and knelt down to the young cub. "What was it this time?"
"It sounded kinda like, 'Vroom-kawaka-boom!'
"Oooh, sounds like a scary noise... It must have been the boogieman again."
"Noooo, Mom... It wasn't the boogieman this time... It ... it was aliens!"
"Oooh! Aliens! That explains it... they must have been trying to suck out your brains again." With a smile we quickly reached down and tickled the young cub's tummy. We nuzzled our muzzle into hir neck before letting hir go. "Ok then! Show me where the aliens went!"
With a huge grin Frosteyes pointed forwards and began walking the opposite direction shi had come from, "This way!"
We giggled and followed after the young cub.

Its incredibly heartwrenching... Shis healthy in every other way, and thats enough to be happy for, but without hir eyesight, shi will never be able to see hir parents' artwork... Intentional or not, it really hurts my heart you guys. Amazing job with drawing out so many emotions in a single character.
'Out working on the HEMTT' OUCH! I HATE IT WHEN THE STARTER IN THIS THING ACTS UP! 'Looks around and sees the family' Sorry for the noise and i'll be gone soon, got to be that damn ground wire again. 'PUlls out a wire cut in two' This is going to be a nightmare to fix and also if those 'ALIENS' are around Frosteyes, i doubt they will like to be on the recieving end of the sniper rifle i have in the cab.
