This is simultaneously me picturing scenes for a story as well as trying to figure out some physical attributes of the setting. Do they . . . do they need booster seats, if humans almost never drive themselves?

Given that there are humans, but the anthros are the ones that drive, I could see that the cars themselves wouldn't require booster seats for the animals who are shorter, but maybe the roof of the cars would be higher to compensate for the size difference. Larger windows, differently placed mirrors, etc.
Or was the question rhetorical? Either way, I do like this picture. Definitely going in my faves; the lineart is really well done, and it captures the facial expressions quite nicely.

I'd say the seats, wheel and pedals just have a much larger range of adjustability than they do now. Since I imagine by the time such robots are common place, many cars with be more drive-by-wire, it'd be very easy to re-configure the seats and control surfaces for different sized drivers.
The gas/brake I decided are controlled by remote. Since androids can access external machines wirelessly I figured this would make sense.
Though it'd make the most sense to just plug an android into the car like R2D2, I think the presence of a driver's seat means that a human would be able to drive should it be necessary.

The question is whether or not the anthros were around as the intended drivers when cars were invented, or if they are a new addition to the equation.
If they are a new addition, one might imagine slap-dash solutions to the size-difference like booster seats and extended pedals.
If they've always been around, the car's front would seem more naturally attuned to their stature, while the backs of the vehicles should be properly made for the comfort of the passengers.
Of course, I'm saying this without really knowing your story, and I apologize for not knowing it. My point is to consider the history! I suppose I should know if this is the status quo for the whole world, or just one group of people, too.. Erk!

I figure the hands on the steering wheel are more a formality for the comfort of the human passengers. (I get the feeling that there's a lot that works on this principle...) The robots would use some sort of electronic interface to control the car, rather than relying on the controls themselves. They'd still be placed and configured for a human operator, should a human choose to drive themselves, but the robots wouldn't actually need to reach the pedals to tell the car to accelerate or brake. ^_~
This is how I picture it too. The androids would link into a host of sensors built into the car to attain a 360' awareness of their surroundings and operate the brake, accelerator, turn signals, A/C, radio, etc. in the same way. Anything else would be an affectation for the sake of any passengers in view.
Depends on how oppressive an environment you want to establish. Booster seats can be used to emphasize the otherness of the feral characters. It underlines the concept of "this is not your world, you are merely playing at what roles we allow you to adopt." It's an ever present reminder that they serve on the master's pleasure, and could just as easily be replaced on a whim.
Or it could be a less outwardly hostile situation, yet still quite patronizing. "Oh look at you, trying to drive like a big boy/girl. Aren't you just adorable?" In this case, the feral character is treated more like a clever child. A different sort of oppression for a society that believes itself more civilized than it really is.
I'm afraid I don't know the story/characters well enough to say for certain, but they could definitely be used to say something meaningful about the society in the story.

As a person who helps authors with their own stories many times. There are some things that can be done. Mostly depending on the tech level of the time. the biggest thing to take into account is that sitting on a tail like shown here would be very uncomfirtable. there would likely need to be an opening or something near the lower back to allow for the tail to extend through the seat. The most likely solution if Anthros become the main drivers is at the dealership one could get the seats replaced with ones meant for the anthro. the Hardest issue would be the placement of the foot peddles. ether they need to ba able to lift up to meet the shorter legs OR go with the driving system developed for those paralized form the waist down where they are all hand controls.
Well I would think of this as Human who might be smaller stature. They use hand controls on the wheel for break and gas. I believe you can take a look at modified cars look for those people to get an idea for these anthros. This is just my suggestion I think the picture is really cute.
Aside from the fact that it's adorable and works, I would imagine that they navigate through means more dependably than their eyes and ears. If the car has an early detection system, I would imagine that they tie in with whatever they're driving. It could create an interesting situation if the car's early warning systems shut down and they suddenly had to work together to operate the vehicle (one on pedals, the other standing on the seat) to maintain control.
Keep the size of the car, but as seats can be removed, have them in smaller seats built for their race. Same size car, but that way in the society of things its much easier to design seats for the races rather than the entire car, that way anyone can still buy them. From a marketing sense, that would be most efficient to me.
