"...I still need you," he murmured as stared in the water. Cobalt sat in silence clutching his mother's silver locket, the only piece of her he has left.

Just as he felt he could no longer fight back the tears, he heard a whisper, as if carried on the cherry blossoms by the wind, "I love you, and I will always watch over you." And in that brief moment, as he looked deeper into the lake, he felt a warm paw rest tenderly on his shoulder as he catches one last faint glimpse of his mother's spirit before she faded away with the ripples of water.
