Being a bit of a foodie, I love everything about food. My favorite chef in books and television is Anthony Bourdain. He introduced me to the world of food pornography, this sort of gratuitous enjoyment of food for food's sake. It's hedonistic, I admit but that's part of what I relish about it.

My family is notorious for taking pictures of their food, whether they cook it or not, and so we call each other purveyors of food porn XD These are some of the cupcakes I took on, rather ambitiously, after my mom and I watched Cupcake Wars.

They're devil's food cake and white cake cupcakes, made with diet coke and diet sprite, so about half the calories. The frosting however more than makes up for it, being my favorite cream cheese frosting (nouffandel- spelling mistake imminent- so still less than usual) and I found edible glitter and these gorgeous sprinkles at a local store.

I'm looking forward to trying out more complex designs and getting my own set of tips and a bag to try more decorative patterns :) As it was, I had one tip, a very old dispenser and these were for family, so they got to be guinea pigs.
