I've always been a motorhead. I grew up in garages, hangers, race pits. gun stores and hobby shops. My dad was very involved with the SoCal hot rod scene in the 50's and did freelance photography for Petersen Publications in the early days. Therefore I got to meet people like Dean Moon, Big Daddy Roth, George Barris and thought it was perfectly normal. This had quite an impact on my drawing style, and while dad has a real love for Hot Rodsof 30's and 40's I hold 60's and early 70's muscle cars in the same camp.
