Background: Not much is exactly known about Alpha's family background. He is the oldest member in his community and an inheritor of the pokerus virus, which increases his performance tier drastically. If you decide to share a glass of brandy with him, he may sometimes recollect on one of his old war stories.
His wife married him almost 30 years before the events of the first arc, where he revealed to her his secret. She accepted it and conceived their family, starting with Zeke. Zeke, however, has long since separated from the family and Austin barely regards his son unless he has to. He spends more time with his two youngling children, hoping that they will show more promise.
Personality: To be an Alpha, you must embody the personality traits of a Soldier, a Strategist, a Diplomat, a Leader, and a Family Man. Austin has all of these traits. A regal, proud soul, he is fiercely loyal to all those in the community and will do what is needed to protect them. He is also known to bear grudges against those who've wronged him in the past and will regard them with a passive aggressive indifference or will fight them immediately on sight, particularly those who threaten his family or the community. Stubborn and sometimes spiteful, he is not quick to forgive. For example, his relationship with his eldest son, Zeke, has made a major improvement over the past few years; in fact, he tolerates his presence around his home.
