About a month ago, I was thinking about my OC. I had flip-flopped around from unicorn, to pegasus, to differant pegasus, to unicorn, to the point was going to just make a changeling OC. At the time, there wasn't NEARLY as abundant number of them that I have seen. But then, it hit me, there was NO real bat ponies out there really. So, set up a game involving all six of my 6-sided dice to come up with what to go with, let fate/luck decide. So bat pony won, and rolled with it, making a request of some one on tumblr for one half in jest, and got the original picture that I colored here.
So here you have it, Dusk Blitz, bat pony OC. I am working on more personal head canon for the species and this OC's personal background more after I finish the head canon.

Hun, you are so derp, silly coon. I never said I ONLY had 6 sided dice. I mean, do you even remember who you are talking to? D&D is my Drug of choice, or was back in the day. I have a bag of dice, ranging in sides. from 4 all the way up to 20, mostly cause a 100 sided die doesn't fit in the pouch I use right now. I mean, look http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/.....3-06205827.jpg 4, 6, 8, 10/percentile, 12, 20, you are such a dork hun to even assume I ONLY had d6. XD
As for head-canon... uh, okay, so, when something is 'canon' in a show, it's proven to be true. Like it's Canon Doctor Who flies around space and time in a blue police box or it's canon that Princess Celestia is the ruler of Equestria. But a head-canon is something people come up in their head, those silly ideas that sometimes make sense. Like, some head canons about Celestia is, she is a goddess of some sort, there is also the head-canon that she is also a Tyrannical leader that leads through fear. Or the head-canon about Molestia, the alternate personality of the kind gentle ruler the show has shown, that has some deep darker sexual desire.
For example, a few of my head canons are, the changelings have the ability to, though enzymes and a form of brainwashing, turn normal ponies into members of their ranks, but few employ such a thing as it's much harder to do, those things needed take time and energy, and generally increases the risk of being found out when ponies start randomly disappearing.
The fact that Discord in Season 2 Ep. 1 and 2, many where pissed at how easily he was defeated at the end, but as THE element and embodiment of Chaos, he is unpredictable. And looking at it, he came, did what he did, got bored cause it started to lose it's fun, then sorta let himself get re-stoned. But he obviously wasn't expecting the whole shooting element symbol thing, and before he could strike another pose like before, was stoned saying "Noooo!" But even if he isn't there, he has left his mark on the world where you can see it got a little more 'tainted' from what it was before.
Or even about the bat ponies, I personally feel and like to think they are a race that existed with the other ponies, an off-shooting of Pegasus that was generally shunned as 'evil' and 'dark' creatures for a long time, and live normally outside of standard pony society for fear of being judged or worse. Where others like to have the head canon that they are magically made, that the princesses, namely Luna, use their alicorn magic to transform normal ponies to the bat versions to work as spec ops or even just the elite night guard.
Here is two (good) definitions of Head-canon from Urban Dictionary:
1. Headcanon
(also written as "head canon" but it's really one word.)
An idea, belief, or aspect of a story that is not mentioned in the media itself, but is accepted by either the reader themselves or the fandom in general. If it is confirmed by the author of the story, it becomes canon.
2. headcanon
Used by followers of various media of entertainment, such as television shows, movies, books, etc. to note a particular belief which has not been used in the universe of whatever program or story they follow, but seems to make sense to that particular individual, and as such is adopted as a sort of "personal canon". Headcanon may be upgraded to canon if it is incorporated into the program or story's universe.
