The sun had been up for hours and the little dracoraptor was bored. Bored and hungry. He had arisen at the crack of dawn, as he was wont to do, and in the intervening time had already thoroughly explored the surrounding area.
He'd watched the birds, until they had all disappeared for their midmorning nap.
He'd gone swimming in a little stream nearby, until the flies had driven him away.
He'd chased a lizard up a craggy pile of rocks, until it finally disappeared into a crevice.
All food prospects were prudently keeping well clear of the snoring mass of his traveling companion.
Now he sat and poked idly at the bigger dragon's gut, hoping in vain that the beast would wake up. It was bad enough that he had to travel with a creature who seemed to be intent on swallowing him the first chance he was given, but he also had to wait hours a day for the hulking mass of scales to simply wake up. It was almost more than he could stand. How could anything be so damn lethargic? His tail twitched and he poked again, harder this time. His poor stomach grumbled.
"Wake UP! Wake up. Wake up? Hey. HEY. Come on, lets go. Hey, come on. Come ooooon. Come ON! C'mon. C'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon....."

Inspired by a little road trip Mandarax and I embarked upon last year. When traveling with dragons, never expect to be moving before at least 10AM (if you're especially lucky).
