Very nice black and white line art!! Interesting use of the cross hatching, which you've done very well!
(I'm a nerd when it comes to cross hatching, har har)
The very best parts of the "cross hatching" technique can be found at the barrel and the little tonics and bottles on the left side of the picture. In this part, the bottles look REALLY plastical and "round" - due to the perfect shading!
Anyway, there are a few things/details which immediately hit my eyes:
1) Larom's small... apprentice?! It's either an apprentice, a magical novice or a little helper. In any way, he's adorable!! I love his face expression. I assume he's either found out something wrong about the spell or he's scared about the possible outcome of the spell casting.
2) The book stand has a great design! This gargoyle-type creature... which is holding the book - excellent!
3) The window on the right side is quite emtpy. This empytness can serve as "rest area", but it can also be a fatal flaw in the artwork. Maybe, you're going to add some landscape or a dark night with stars in the end - just using colours. Knowing you, you were already planning this!! ^___^
But the same goes for the table on the right side (middle of the artwork). I strongly suggest to add some wood texture later. Nothing too fancy. Just some wood texture or some... writing/carvings. That'd be great! ^^
Overall, a splendid line art/ink!!!
