This is a new addition to the family, a 3 month old Quaker. I'm guessing shes a girl but shes not tested so for all we know she could be a boy, haha. Her name at the store was Jade but I changed it to Midori.
Cody isn't much of a other bird/animal kinda bird so they can't really be friends, but he generally leaves her alone.

Just be aware that quakers do get cage defensive as they reach puberty, so dont be alarmed if he goes "nutz" and tries to bite everyone but you.
I currently own a quaker who was given up to me as the previous owner couldn't deal with the bird biting their kids.
He had plucked out his chest feathers, I'm guessing from being neglected because they couldnt take him out anymore :<
He is about 2 now.. rather sad... but now he has a good home with a 12 year old cockatoo to talk to Px
Make sure you do supervise them when they are together D: quakers are brave >> and sneaky xD

Oh I see, is there anything else I should know about quakers? The only thing I really knew about them prior to getting them was their legal status. XD And aww thats sad,i'm glad he has a happier home now.
Now, do you think she would be a threat to him when she is older? I was worried about him being mean to her (he body slams my moms' cockatiel @_@) but generally just looks at her from a distance. And yeah I noticed already that she is pretty brave but she can't fly yet so shes pretty easy to watch over.

Yeah I'd just be careful about letting him fly.
Im generally against the idea of anything other then parakeets and smaller being able to fly (because for them, its very healthy) because they can abuse this and don't have the same bond where they rely on you to go places... Not to mention, you cant take them outside xD My birds go with me on errands, trips, camping, the park.. Px
That and they can get into things e__e get hurt by other animals (we have 4 cats, the quaker is not afraid of them) escape >< make poops wherever Px
I keep both my birds clipped because of the hazzards, and if my quaker got out.. no way hed come back.. its why they are illegal in some states :C
Im sure she wont be afraid to bicker and lock beaks, he has done that with my cockatoo and obviously the cockatoo won but he didnt say a peep.. which is why I didnt know it was happening.
I would google all you can about them.
I did after I took him in and wondered why he had no feathers and why he had such an attitude D:
I guess they can pluck themselves "just because" lol rather then plucking from neglect
They have attitude, but it just takes lots of socialization to get them used to all there is in the world.
I gave him a smaller cage, he came in something very big. I think its helped with the stress of always being defensive about his space.
Most importantly, don't forget about your other bird. They get jealous and they don't understand ><
The first bird you have is always #1 Px At least with my cockatoo it is, I've had her for 12 years and I dont want her upset because of a pet /I/ want xD
