I used a trackball in MSPaint. I'm pretty sure that having a tablet would immediately double the quality of my work; without a tablet, a better program probably won't help. Being able to draw with something that doesn't wobble horribly would at least ensure that all this pony's legs are of similar size and shape. Sigh.
