Well, some time ago I was talking to Hydrothrax over on DeviantArt in the comments of this image: http://hydrothrax.deviantart.com/ar.....HONK-286289862
I decided, after a little encouragement from the aforementioned artist, to make my own 'Trainsona'.
The plan is to produce 4 subsequent images from this stock one; each based of a different 'brand' of anthropomorphic vehicles: These being The Railway Series, Thomas and Friends, Chuggington and Pixar's Cars
I spent about 6 months chipping away at this image, doing the odd bit of line art now and then. However about a week ago I was talking to the splendid
wulfywaffle (who has in the past made me some badass skins of my scaley fursona in Forza 3 and 4) and I happened to mention this project to him. He expressed his interest, which alone was enough to spur me on and get this moved on from just the rails and half a bogey to this state in about four days.
The locomotive is a British Rail Class 56 locomotive. A big type 5 diesel electric beastie with a Ruston-Paxman 16RK3CT diesel engine that pumps out over 3000bhp and is good for 80 miles an hour towing a fully loaded train.
As usual: I am still available if anyone has any requests.

Well, it's a term that a few folks I talk to on DeviantArt use. Just to kinda explain the point: Fursona is a common term for referring to a furry character that represents you, so this is my fursona here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4428755/
The folks I mentioned on DA are some of many huge fans of the Disney Pixar Cars films, and have hence made made various characters based upon the movie's concept of living vehicles. This community has coined various words to describe these characters, such as carsona, trainsona, aerosona, boatsona and so on, along with the broader term vehiclesona.
I think it all stems from the word persona; "The aspect of someone's character that is presented to or perceived by others." It's basically just a way of representing yourself, or an aspect of yourself in a different form.
