I received this lovely gift of poetry from
luxario ; I'm truly humbled, and very happy that I was able to be the light at the end of the tunnel. To try to return the favor, I've re-recorded That Which Endures with the good piano, vastly improving the quality of the track.
Thank you, Luxario. Things like this make it possible for me to carry on, too.
My Lost Hope
It was a dark day when I fell
My wings torn from me, my own personal hell
Heart broken, soul lost & mind shattered
I began to form an unbreakable shell
No emotion did flow though me
No happiness for the eyes to see
I sank into darkness as deep as I could
Grieving my past not as I should
I felt love for none anymore
The black that tainted my scales
The red of my eyes were the lure
& I knew of no kind of cure
So I stayed in the dark
Away from the light
Time began to leave its mark
As I travelled forever in the night
As I began to lose all hope
I heard the slightest little note
For of no reason I began to cope
A song a cure that someone wrote
For the first time in many a year
Did I begin to cast away my fear
The song reminded me of what I hold dear
That such a thing was always near
My scales slowly turned back to hue
My eyes back to their crystal blue
As I gazed at my once torn back
I found my wings, reformed anew
Tears did I cry
As I took to the sky
My wings once again mine
I took this as a sign
For even those in deepest despair
There is always a tiny bit of hope hidden there
Just that one song helped me to once again care
My greatest wishes to the shire named Flare

I wrote that poem when I saw on your journar about Elden's passing, you wished to know whether your music helped people, that it helped them to grieve. I wished for you to see that indeed it does help, it is filled with such raw emotion that people can not help but open up to it.
Your music is something we all need Flare so take hope that it does help others, you truly are a great musician.
*hugs* & I thank you for the gesture, I sought no gain in that poem. Things like this keep me in the twilight to enjoy the world
