Something moody and atmospheric from 
A sinister silence had descended upon the world as all who live by day were peacefully slumbering, this was the dead of night, the time of day when only the foolhardy or those of an M. R. Jamesian disposition ventured out of doors. The only sounds to be heard were the creaking and groaning of the equipment in the machine sheds cooling down and very occasionally the sound of muffled footsteps. A solitary Vulpine figure clad in green military fatigues melted out of the shadows clutching an old carbine. He had a melancholy expression and held a well-chewed toothpick tightly in his jaws. He carefully scanned the vicinity with his eyes and finely tuned ears for any sign of activity; of which, of course, there was none. He cast his mind back to happy times with friends and acquaintances, raising a faint grin, but he wouldn't trade this life for the world, and promptly vanished back into the pitch darkness.....
