Electric Radio Pumpkin
This coming Saturday Night, I'm going to be taking to the airwaves with the Radio Theatre halloween special: HALLOWEEN IN THE RADIO THEATRE.
Three hours of classic old time radio, with a halloween flavor. Amongst the assorted amusements will be Jack Benny, Bob Hope, Vincent Price, Edger Bergen with Charlie McCarthy, and Orson Welles.
If you're on SecondLife, come on by the Radio Theatre, in it's location on the south side of Furnation Prime at 10pm Eastern, 7PM SL Time, and enjoy the show.
If you're not on secondLife, the handy broadcast URL at the bottom of the image should let you tune in with winamp, itunes or whatever streaming audio program you have handy.
As for the image itself, this is a nice 3D model of an electric radio pumpkin. No need for a candle, it's got tubes in. Built and rendered in 3DS Max.
I'm using a version of this image to advertise the show inside SL, as well, though with slightly different text.
Anyway, hope you can tune in.

I love it! :) Although I'm not on SL (my only realtime RP is on IRC, on a small little-known IRC network, which my RP character is a 4-foot-tall radiomousie- Her description is on my FA page), I like this, and I'm glad to see others such as myself who are into OTR and the mystique of 1930s futurism. This reminds me, to some degree, one of the most beautiful radios I've ever seen- a Spartan Bluebird, ca. 1936. :)
