AUGUST 10 UPDATE:
For those who came in late, our story so far:
An FA member I'll refer to only as "Mr. Pissy" took offense at the original version of this poster, which featured a photograph of Mitt. (You can still view the original version (and download it) from -
http://joestrike.deviantart.com/#/d59whnh
The photo of Mitt was replaced with art by yers truly you see above; unfortunately this change did not put an end to Mr. Pissy's conniption fit.
If you want to read the exchange of comments between myself and Mr. P that I've obliterated below in their entirety, they're in my scraps at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8590936/
Now, for the less masochistic viewers here's my original description; the remaining comments - on the contents of the image and its related issues - can still be read below)
Excuse me while I get political for a minute.
I'm too broke to contribute $$ to O's re-election, so I figured I'd pitch in a different way with a bit of graphic design...
Mitt ain't coming anywhere near NYC where I live (to see the public anyway; no doubt he'll pass thru town to attend a few private banquets & rake in a mil or two here & there).
I'd love it if people downloaded & printed out a few of these, pass them out and/or take them to a Mitt rally near you. (A nice loud "RELEASE THE RETURNS! RELEASE THE RETURNS!" chant at the rallyl would be fun too. )
Okay, politics time is over; we now return to our regular furry programming.

Uhh... he did already... quite a while ago.
Will you guys stop beating that dead horse already? The dude was born in Hawaii, end of story. Now John McCain, he was born in the Panama Canal zone, not in any of the United States of America; I wonder if that would've disqualified him?

Speaking as a European, the Americans who decry the word 'socialist' the loudest generally have the least idea of what it actually *means*...
...unless they really are living in a log cabin in the woods somewhere completely cut off from every single government service their taxes pay for, and blogging on their personal internet powered by a hamster treadmill.

A little bit of relevant history: When Mitt ran against Ted Kennedy in 1994 for the US Senate, he attacked Teddy for not releasing his tax returns; Mitt said he'd be glad to as soon as Teddy did. (Which didn't happen.)
Okay, jump in the TARDIS, set the chronograph for 2012, and: "Maybe Obama's released his last twelve years' worth like my daddy did in 1968, and every other candidate since then but I've told you people all I care to; now stop bothering me."
Two rumors floating around: 1) Romney's paid NO income taxes for the last ten years (loopholes, creative accounting etc.), and 2) Romney was caught attempting some misreporting and had to pay a big fat fine. Either way, he feels keeping these returns buried is less damaging than letting them out. Since sitting on them is already killing him poll-wise, one can only imagine what might be in those returns. (See rumors 1) and 2), above.)

He's already on the high ground - released his 12 years of returns and his birth certificate (long form, bitches!) the birthers were bitching about. (Not that it satisfied them of course.)
Now it's Mr. Rmoney's turn to give into us peasants and fess up. (He's free to release his college transcripts if he wants to too.)

I would be very very very surprised if Harvard - freakin' mo'fo'in Hah-vahd Law School allowed an unqualified person become president of their extremely prestigious Law Review for the sake of 'affirmative action' -- somehow Barack Obama strikes me as an exceptionally intelligent individual who did not become President of the Harvard Law Review (or of the United States of America) thanks to affirmative action. (Now appointing a completely unqualified bozo like Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court - that's affirmative action in action!)
No, but looking at someone's overall intellectual capacities - speaking, writing, strategizing, life accomplishments etc. - can give you a pretty good idea of his level of intelligence.
George W got into Yale because he came from a politically powerful, megarich family; his father (& grandfather too I believe) attended the school which didn't hurt either. (While in the White House he bragged of being a 'C' student.)
Barack Obama came from a middle class background without any political connections, and from my perspective got where he is today by a combination of brainpower, perseverance and self-confidence. Frankly, I can't figure out why so many people question his intelligence or the validity of his accomplishments...

None taken. I was merely making a point.
It's a useless point to argue anyway. Even if Obama handed over his college transcripts, there are a few who shall remain nameless (but whose last names are Arpaio, Luntz, Trump, Taitz, et. al.) who will instantly screech that they are forgeries or evidence of Some Shadowy Vast Conspiracy that has somehow managed to get hold of a time machine.
Romney has a different problem. His own father released twelve years of returns to show that he had nothing to hide, and Willard's refusal only serves to plant a seed in many minds that there's something hidden in the paperwork. Add that to his Magic IRA, his overseas accounts and his $77K tax break for his wife's horse (oh, and the fact that he helped 'save' the Salt Lake Olympics with Government money), and you get the impression he's hiding something big.
Psst - by the way, you could have taken a picture of a 2x4 adorned with a toupee and a necktie, and it would have been a dead ringer for Romney. Just saying.)

Good suggestion, but I'm gonna draw my own version of Mittens & repost the pic that way. (Don't tell Mr. Pissy!)
This whole affair reminds me of O's "HOPE" poster. The artist used a newspaper picture of O and the photographer (or the wire service) got upset. They settled it out of court - but that blue and red posterized look is now a meme - you see it used everywhere
And totally - whatever's in those returns is so embarassing mitt's willing to put up with the shit he3's dealing with now (which will probably sink him) rather than the shit that would be revealed (which would definitely sink him!

Mitt likes to make a big deal about how much he respects Winston Churchill (not like that CommieNaziCowardDictatorGayMuslim Obama).
FYI, Mitt: Churchill was a hard-drinking, heavy-smoking ex-soldier who wouldn't be seen dead with a weird and creepy, draft-dodging hypocrite like you.

None of them has ever given me a hard time and of course I'd take down whatever submission they deem is unsuitable for FA. This pic might as well come down anyway - election's over & Mitt got his just desserts - what a shmuckarino. ("I'm Elmer J. Romney, billionaire - I own a mansion and a yacht - and I fucking deserve to be president!")
