its basically like memory cloth. only its plastic. it retains its shape but is still flexible. its not the future unless you have super advance fabric...and skin tight suits!

You know, in Perry Rhodan they use the same concept for years. I'm not saying you got it from there, I consider it one of those 'great minds think alike' things or that there are only a limited ways to do something.

P.S. Perry Rhodan is the longes running Science Fiction series in the world, now in it's 51th year running weekly. Sadly it is rather unknown even among Science Fiction fans here in Germany.

This looks like it could be the standard civilian shipboard suit that you wear in case of a sudden decompression or when you need to take a short jaunt in the vacuum.
