Tonight I ran out to Polk street in Downtown Amarillo to watch and be a small part of the Annual Polk Street Cruise.
Pretty much this is what they do:
-Close down part of Polk and turn it into a one way street.
-Cops direct traffic in a large rectangle of roads from 6pm till about 9pm
-Noise restrictions are lifted for this, so people can have their noisy sexy pipes and rev the engines and smoke out tires
-People are encouraged to bring out classics and cruise the rounds until 9-10pm ish.
All in all an awesome annual event. Totally worth it. :D
