So,
rukis posted a fanwork contest, and it turned out to be a pretty good incentive for me to try composing a soundtrack-worthy epic score.
If the first volume of the comic were to have a score, I'd imagine this to be how the ending credits would sound, where all the themes of the story are brought together:
Ethnic woodwinds along with brass and orchestra match the setting of Red Lantern's Vol. 1- military brass with more personal, intimate ethnic motifs wound through.
Red Lantern is copyright to
rukis
The comic can be read at: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4260941
Created in FL Studio using EastWest, LA Scoring Strings, and Desert Winds instrument library, by Eduardo Tarilonte.
Update: A higher-quality version of the song can be downloaded here! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2ozi3rsc.....ern%20LASS.wav

I've never played in an orchestra, myself, though I've always wanted to :)
The harmonies you came up with between instruments were superb.
This is the music I composed for Rukis' contest: http://soundcloud.com/aerispearson/.....ern-unofficial
Took me the better part of two months as well ^-^
Maybe you could give it a listen? :3
