You know, I had this idea for awhile (as far back as discord and when the grand galloping gala first aired). But I didn’t get super inspired until fluttershy’s episodes came out. I was in awe when “putting your hoof down” aired. The borderline swearing, the power, the brutality, all made this last page happen. At first it was just going to be a combination of her and iron will (BTW a long aside here: I actually thought iron will was a demon trying to pass himself off as a minotaur and was going to corrupt fluttershy into something similar to himself. Especially given the sudden increase in strength, her insistence that iron will was not a monster, and the deep growling as she ran off two of her best friends. I think there is a remote possibility they may have considered it while writing, but realized it would have cheapened the lesson considerably, plus we already have spike for that kind of thing). But then you add the plot twist of “the dragon is my father!” ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G1xB1Hz-AU hey the FiW team predicted pinkie pie being gypsy fortune teller months beforehand, so I figure why not? we have never seen ANY of fluttershy’s relatives so it could still work) and imagining the surge of power allowing the recessive dragon genes to manifest explaining the spikes and coloring (I was considering a pure iron will color scheme, and was going to do 2 versions of this page, but I got lazy :P )
I almost want to do a tumblr for “fluttersmash”, but I have too much to do. (plus I don’t really RP which is a notable skill for a character based tumblr) but if I get my sketch speed up, anything’s possible I guess :P

I love it, tho, and wow, the level of thought that you put into the back story for it... it shows that you weren't just trolling the bronies (I'm an average fan of the show... IE, I'll watch it when I stumble across an episode, etc. But am not uber focused on it, IE fan characters, hunting down each episode as they come out, pony postulation on fan forums, etc.)
...speaking of trolling bronies... methinks I'll sneak this series of images into my best friends "MLP desktop random image selecting" program... She'll appreciate the humor once the nightmares wear off... nightmare? bah. No pun intended.
