Twilight doing her "AH-HAH!" thing.
I whipped this out incredibly fast. Started drawing it sometime during late Saturday afternoon, had it drawn, inked and scanned by ... 1:30 AM or so? Then had it colored by early evening on Sunday.
I don't know why I put the mane behind her--usually it's in front, but occasionally she'll turn her head and it'll be on the side opposite from the camera ... it looks kind of elegant and cute that way, and seems to happen more often with Twilight than the others for some reason, so I went with it. Plus, I wanted her tail blowing behind her, so figured the mane should be moving in the same direction.

I think the mane looks well. Funny how even though these are ponies, body expressions still "speak to us". Overall the variation of emotions I see in the characters of MLP: FIM is one of the things that for now (until I watch much of the show properly myself) convinces me that it has the right to be as popular as it is now.
The only bad thing I can mention is the time it took you to make this: it feels like a horse-kick to my jaw. There's a lot of things where I'm like "One day I'll be that good", but to finish something like this within a weekend? Never! But hey, that's just me, don't take it too seriously!
Hmmm, you did Fluttershy, RainbowDash, Rarity, Twilight. Will you also draw AppleJack to make the Pentagon complete?

Yah, the facial expressions on the show are great--part of what makes her so terrifying in Lesson Zero XD
Don't feel bad--I mentioned the time it took because I'm shocked myself. It's partly because ponies are simple to draw and color (except for RD and Celestia--their manes were a pain)--I usually can knock one of these out within a weekend, but it usually takes up two full days. After doing the math, it's crazy that this one ended up taking a little over 24 hours. I think it's also because, with it being more of a far-away shot, I don't fuss over details as much. Also, this is the sixth one I've drawn, maybe I'm getting a rhythm going here. Anyway ...
I'm trying to get all of the Mane 6, plus Derpy, finished before the end of the month since I'll be selling prints at a local furry convention then. Hoping the ponies* will sell well.
